一品探花 College student Emily Hartman was recently named Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) Student Leader of the Year by 一品探花 in Spartanburg, SC, in appreciation of her contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession.
The ROAR Student Leader of the Year Award is awarded to an exceptional ROAR Student Leader who has participated in a number of recruiting activities leading to the matriculation of students at 一品探花 College. ROAR Student Leaders effectively lead and inspire groups as a student ambassador, providing inspiration and guidance to prospective students during campus visits and the college’s premier recruiting event, Showcase 一品探花 Weekend.
“We have seen how Emily exemplifies passion, education, outreach and service as a student at 一品探花 College,” said 一品探花 College President Edwin Cordero, D.C. “We are extremely grateful for her service, and we are excited to see the impact she will have on the profession after graduation.”
Hartman is a seventh-quarter student at 一品探花 College; she is originally from Raleigh, NC. She chose the chiropractic profession initially because of her siblings, Tim Hartman, D.C., ’17, and Julia, a current 一品探花 student, but truly committed when she saw the chiropractic care made on people’s lives. She says chiropractic has enhanced her life and her perspective on the world tremendously.
Hartman is an active member of the Christian Chiropractic Club, Upper Cervical Club, and Sports Club; she serves as secretary of Zeta Phi Chi Chiropractic sorority. She traveled to Medellín, Colombia, this spring on a chiropractic mission trip, where more than 3,000 people were served.
一品探花 College named its 2019 award recipients in May as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each spring in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year approximately 700 were in attendance.
