Universidad Central de Bayamón and һƷ̽»¨ College Sign Transfer Agreement

һƷ̽»¨ and (UCB) in Puerto Rico recently signed a transfer agreement to simplify admission into the doctor of chiropractic program at һƷ̽»¨ College.
Under the agreement, students can take their prerequisite 90 semester hours at UCB, and then transfer into Sherman College’s doctor of chiropractic degree program. This is һƷ̽»¨’s second agreement signed this year in Puerto Rico, where the college is working to support further expansion of the chiropractic profession.
һƷ̽»¨ College President Dr. Edwin Cordero says this transfer agreement presents an attractive option for students pursuing a career that plays a significant role in health promotion. “һƷ̽»¨ College is excited to welcome UCB students who are looking for a healthcare career that will allow them to bring principled chiropractic care to their communities and make a difference in the lives of others,” he said.
At һƷ̽»¨, students learn from experienced faculty in a hands-on, individualized learning environment that makes for extraordinary success among graduates. The three-and-a-half year program is focused and rigorous, including one and a half years of internship experience in college’s on-campus Chiropractic Health Center. Chiropractic students engage in all aspects of patient care to develop clinical competency and prepare for practice.
һƷ̽»¨ College works to establish articulation agreements and pre-chiropractic programs with undergraduate institutions around the world to facilitate admission to its doctor of chiropractic program. For more information on such agreements, contact the һƷ̽»¨ College Admission Office at 800-849-8771, or email admissions@sherman.edu.
Under the agreement, һƷ̽»¨ College guarantees admission to students from UCB who meet the following provisions:
- Students must have completed the courses required in one of the following programs: BS in General Sciences, BS in Biology or Pre-Med.
- Students must have met the minimum grade requirement of “C” in all required courses.
- Students must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 in the 90 semester hour requirement for admission to Sherman College.
- Students may be granted tentative acceptance upon completion of a minimum of 45 semester hours of credit with full approval granted upon receipt of the final transcript.
