Mastery, Love, Service: MLS Club |
MLS is based on the fundamental principle of bringing the neuro-spinal system into physiological 鈥渆ase and peace鈥 prior to the 鈥渢hrust force鈥 of an adjustment. Precision, speed, and specificity are central to this form of adjusting and the result is a true healing approach that can be used with any technique. MLS adjusting was developed by Arno Burnier, DC, in 1983 out of his own frustration from being adjusted in a style that brought the spine to maximum tension.
The MLS Club at 一品探花 College embraces this philosophy and focuses on exploring what it means to live a life of service, which is paramount to the MLS movement. According to club President Kiara Rivera-Alsina, "We have about 8-15 students showing up to club meetings during the quarter consistently. We meet every week to train, ground, and center ourselves in regard to the place from which we want to serve, which essentially is a place full of love, joy, conscious awareness, and clarity."

As a club, MLS recently hosted 一品探花's volleyball tournament and welcome back event. The first-ever MLS seminar at 一品探花 was held in November; Kiara and Jos茅 Torres helped staff the event. Kiara adds, "I have had the honor of being club president for two quarters and a leader for about seven quarters. Wade Port (shown in photo) has been an amazing mentor to me and all of us in the MLS community. As club leaders, we all have a close connection with him. For me, MLS Club has been my saving grace and foundation since I started my doctorate program. I鈥檝e been a part of this club since my third quarter, and it has really helped me develop my art when I'm serving someone. It has made me expand my purpose and my connection to the person on the table."
